Holiday Hopes is a collection of short stories all centered around the same theme - Christmas. Meet Stephanie who must make the decision whether to follow her fiance to London or stay and look after her elderly grandmother. Or Sierra who doesn't want her mother to sell the horses at their stable just to make ends meet. Head to another realm, out of this world, and celebrate the holidays with magic, wizards, and gnomes. Or follow Charlie, a down and out who is visited by the Angel Gabriel who asks him to rescue a baby girl abandoned in an alleyway. What about India who discovers her husband is having an affair and leaves him, taking off for a ski lodge where she meets her destiny? Every story will take you on a different story, into different walks of life where everyone wants the same thing - love, happiness, and hope.
I enjoyed reading Holiday Hopes. Each story was something different, following its own theme instead of being similar. Every author whose story appeared in the anthology has done a great job at passing on some of the magic of the Holiday Season and reminds us that, no matter how bad things may seem, there is always hope and always something or someone to reach out to. Every story was wonderfully written, unique, and heart warming, and the whole book was well put together. Great book for those cold winter evenings, curled up in front of a roaring log fire.
