Hook: The Untold Stories of Neverland by K.R. Thompson tells a story you will not find elsewhere. The truth about how Captain Hook became Hook, how the crocodile really got its name, and how Peter Pan was involved in all of it. It is also a story about love, and fighting for love against an enemy who has no morals at all. The enemy might not be the one you expect. Hook is a story that will change your perspective, and at the end of the book you might find that Peter Pan will not be quite the same any longer. Are you ready to get your illusions about Pan destroyed?

I have to admit that I only picked up Hook: The Untold Stories of Neverland by K.R. Thompson because I do not like Peter Pan at all. I never found him as lovable as most people do. I just always thought there's something wrong with that kid, and I was looking forward to reading a book that would prove just that. I was not disappointed, but the book was also quite a treat, and I received more than I expected. Hook is an excellent story, very well written, and the language of the writing just draws you right in. I would recommend the book to all people who love fantasy, and who find Peter Pan dodgy. Because dodgy he is. Ha! Excellent! Now we just need another book in which Pan gets what he deserves. I would love to read that!
