In today's culture, all over the world, some people are living confused, frustrated, and uncertain lives while others are not. Not only is COVID-19 to blame but this pandemic is placing a magnifying glass on how we deal with and face troubled times. Why aren't others having the same issues? Have you ever thought that the key to life is to create a place of balance first before these occurrences happen? No, balance can't stop it but it can assist you in how you deal with it and its effect on your life and well-being. This is the secret that others have discovered - how to create balance. In the self-help book, How to Meditate and Why by Mara M. Zimmerman, you will learn about the benefits of meditation and how it can create your life's balance through merely being still and quiet. Mara really breaks down what meditation is and isn't.

I enjoyed How to Meditate and Why by Mara M. Zimmerman immensely, not only because I too practice the essence of quieting myself through the practice of meditation, but because these words of wisdom spoken by the author to the reader sum it up: "By focusing and exercising your mind and gaining better concentration and awareness, you become more in tune and therefore more able to prevent things from escalating by better using your voice of reason." What people don't realize is that most of the time the energy we emit into the universe, both good and bad, causes us to attract those good and bad elements into our lives. Meditation is great because it allows you to check in with yourself by quieting yourself. This book is highly recommended and should be added to your library.

Meditation has been practiced globally for centuries. Learn how people across the world have found inner sanctuary in meditation and the simple techniques that you can adapt in your daily routine too. By following the techniques, you will realize what your true calling, aspirations, and life goals are and be able to have the inner peace and mindfulness to reach for them.

How to Meditate and Why by Mara M. Zimmerman is a very informative and impeccably researched guide on meditation. If you have ever tried meditation in the past and lacked the concentration to get any benefit from it, then this is the perfect guide on the subject. The author highlights numerous different techniques on meditation, each tailored to your current circumstances. I loved the parables throughout as they were very powerful and insightful. The author is an exceptional teacher, who inspires you to take small steps and not to panic if you do not get it right the first time. I have tried the Vipassana and Toaist meditation but I will definitely try the others too. I didn't realize the importance of the chakras but the author has explained the benefits of each one extremely well. The one-minute section of the book was compelling and effective too. I also found the section on intuition, ego, and Mind-Brain Connection absolutely fascinating. I am truly on my way to rewiring my brain and improving my negative thought processes.
