When it comes to writing books, many see Dale L. Roberts as the go-to source, and his book How to Write a Nonfiction Book in 24 Hours has much information that can help writers fine-tune their writing skills. Dale offers readers words of encouragement and cheers them across the finish line. The text covers every area of writing and publishing your work of nonfiction including ways to speed up the writing process. One piece of advice that by itself is worth the cost of the book is to write without formatting or editing. Both of those jobs are added at the end of the task of writing the rough draft. I have written and published over fifteen books and never thought of dictating my manuscript and having someone else transcribe it. Another word of advice that will save many authors from dreaded burnout is to take your breaks seriously. This book is full of information well worth reading.

Dale L. Roberts redefined my understanding of writing a book in How to Write a Nonfiction Book in 24 Hours: A Simple Step-by-Step System for Writing a Good Book Fast. When I saw this title, I was very intrigued and thought this book would change my writing style. I learned that the 24-hour part refers to the writing of the first rough draft. There is still the research, which may take weeks, and the editing, formatting, etc. that must be added to the time frame. The information in this book is gold. Dale’s writing is very easy to understand and motivating. He covers every part of the writing process and gives ideas for writers to follow. Overall, this is a good resource and I recommend it to all authors.
