This is a unique collection of poetry for children of all ages that blends education with rhymes for an unforgettable reading experience. The poems bring to life various places around the world through playful language. The book takes children to various countries and towns where they’ll learn facts about Australia, Berlin, America, South Africa, and several other locations.
The writing is humorous and will have kids laughing while they’re also learning about exciting locations around the world and maybe even from their own communities. Each poem has a style of rhyme and contains facts and jokes about the various locations. The places range from a variety of well-known places such as the Space Needle and Los Angeles to lesser-known locations like Mobile, Alabama, to amazing places such as Casablanca, the Eiffel Tower, Canary Islands, and the Taj Mahal. Each poem is paired with delightful illustrations that have the same sense of humor as the poems. JR LaMar brings to life a variety of facts through a quirky tone and a fun play on the names of the locations in a joking style that includes aliens landing on the Space Needle, chickens at Chichen Itza, chocolate bunnies and eggs at Easter Island, and a superhero saving Cape Town.
