I Knew in a Moment is the second book in the Connor Falls Christmas Series by Robin Maderich. When a series of unfortunate events forces Nikki Sharp to reevaluate her life, she packs up her things and travels to the quaint little town of Connor Falls. Nikki finds work designing window displays for the holiday season at the local department store. After arriving at her new rental cottage, she meets Rory Hollis, a widower who is still grieving the loss of his wife. Despite the well-meaning efforts of those around him, Rory has withdrawn into himself, becoming a recluse who shuns social gatherings and events. But meeting Nikki slowly brings Rory out of his shell, and as their friendship develops further, their feelings for each other deepen. Can the magic of Christmas unite these two lost souls?

I Knew in a Moment is the perfect book for the holiday season. It's a cozy read that brings warmth to the very depths of your soul, leaving you with hope and a smile on your face. Author Robin Maderich weaves an enchanting yarn full of heart and charm that celebrates the Christmas spirit with a generous touch of romance and drama. Using a well-paced narrative, the author crafts a mesmerizing tale about second chances that beautifully illustrates how love can resurrect hope and ignite joy in a life shadowed by tragedy. Nikki and Rory are both healing from tragic events and find kindred spirits in each other. I was rooting for them to end up together. The secondary characters and the setting were the other highlights of the book for me. Overall, it's a fantastic book for readers of contemporary romance.
