I Know What You Do When I Go to School is a children's picture book written and illustrated by Siona Talekar. The story follows a young girl who humorously imagines what her mother is doing while she is at school. As the girl tackles challenging math questions and discusses her weekend during a morning meeting, she envisions her mother having a fantastic time in her absence. In her imagination, her mother is enjoying delicious food, watching movies, and relaxing throughout the day. The girl pictures her mother dancing, attending birthday parties, playing with animals in the jungle, and sliding down a gigantic water slide. This leads her to wonder: Is her mother truly having the time of her life while she struggles at school, or is it all just a product of her imagination?

I Know What You Do When I Go to School is a delightful story that captures children's curiosity and their amusing misconceptions about their parents' daily activities. It is sure to make readers laugh and encourages children to appreciate their parents' busy lives, as well as the fun of imagining what others might be doing when they are apart. The book features hilarious puns and includes fun activities, such as activity charts that can be filled in with family and friends. Additionally, it offers interview questions and a list of vocabulary words that children can learn from the story. Siona Talekar's storytelling is engaging and filled with whimsical elements that children will find entertaining and relatable. She also conveys an important message about healthy eating and maintaining a balanced diet, encouraging readers to substitute unhealthy snacks with nutritious options. The colorful illustrations perfectly complement the story and add humor to the narrative. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and highly recommend adding it to your children's library. It is both an entertaining read and a great resource for teaching imagination and healthy eating habits.
