Jill met with an accident on her way home from a double shift in the hospital. The passengers of the other car were parents on their way to the hospital to give birth. Upon waking up from her coma, Jill learned that both the parents were killed but the baby was saved. Soon, Jill’s perfect life seems to be crumbling and another bomb is dropped when she goes home to learn some secrets that have affected her throughout her whole life. Confused and hurt, Jill decides on a whim to go to Triton Island to recuperate from her losses and pains. I Know You’re There by Susan Allison-Dean is the story of someone who tries very hard to save others’ lives when her own also needs saving.

I Know You’re There is an inspiring delight to read. It has family, love, some mystery, and all the good elements of a book. The plot flowed easily and smoothly. The characters were likable, dynamic and seemed to be great people. The emotions were portrayed well so that I can sympathize with Jill with all that was going on with her life. Jill is strong and resilient, making her my favorite character of the book. And I like the idea of nurses having superpowers. I feel like a lot has happened before the epilogue that wasn't mentioned so I want to know more about that. But there is going to be a sequel, so that might be it. Can’t wait to read the next book.
