I Will Follow Him by Holly Tierney-Bedord is Book 5 of the Oceanic Dreams series. Francie is a private detective and she’s just been offered a job she can’t refuse – spying on a groom-to-be while he and his bachelor party take a week-long Caribbean cruise. Who would turn that down? Francie gets to spend her time lapping up the sun and sipping fruity margaritas while she watches the groom. This should be a simple job. She should be able to report to her client that all is well, that the groom is not playing with fire – or anything else – and collect her paycheck. Things get complicated when a combination of sun and alcohol send Francie spiraling down, making silly mistakes, like getting friendly with the groom and falling head over heels for his best man. Has her cover been blown or can she get things back on track before the end of the week?
I Will Follow Him (Oceanic Dreams Book 5) by Holly Tierney-Bedord is a laugh-out-loud comedy of errors. It is part of a series but it can be read as a standalone story. The characters are fantastically developed, especially the main protagonist, and they are all relatable and likable. The plot is hilarious, the kind of thing you might expect to see in a tame Carry On film, and you can't help but be drawn into it, laughing out loud in parts and unable to put this story down. Not a page goes by without something happening and the writing is descriptive enough to draw you in, to put you on that cruise ship in the sun with a glass in one hand, camera in the other. This is a delightful story, a short one, but you are guaranteed a great time reading it and a lot of laughs.
