Was his arrest and subsequent conviction based on genuine evidence or just a way to clear a high-profile murder case? This book takes a look behind the scenes to discover what really went on.
I Will Ruin You by Emilio Corsetti III is a fantastic true crime story, delving into the story of Kit Martin, arrested and convicted of triple homicide. It digs deep into his personal life, the legal system, and the part played by the media and questions whether there was something deeper at play than arresting a guilty man. There is much controversy around this court case, and the author tries to uncover some of what went on. This is a well-written account, and the author has done a lot of research into the case and background. The book lays bare the connections between all the major players, people whose biggest fear is Kit being allowed to go free because that could mean the truth coming out. Was this a huge miscarriage of justice, or was the right man convicted? This is a book for all true crime aficionados and armchair detectives and is highly recommended reading.
