Dean Kilmer calls for Americans to live lives of integrity. The definition of integrity is : adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty (dictionary.com).

Kilmer states, “Families with changing values have replaced the traditional families of the 1920s.” We are a greedy people. Young adults want now what their parents took years to achieve. We are a “me” society. I want it, and I want it now. If it feels good, it must be okay.

One need only to look at the issues we face today to see the rapid decline of our integrity. Chart 2 lists the proof of our decline….abortion, living together without marriage, homosexual rights, child abuse, increased divorced rate… are just a few of the signs.

Kilmer is not afraid to stand up for his beliefs. He points out the sins that are stealing our integrity and destroying families. Igniting the Moral Courage of America is not politically correct. I found this book energizing. I found it filled with up for the future of our families, the future of our children. The style is concise, easy to understand, and simple to read. Kilmer’s book is a must read for Christians.
