In a Land Far Away: Second Edition by Aleksandra Layland is a colorful picture book that covers the wonders of the fictional land of Kimbria. As a part of Layland's Windflower Saga, this book celebrates the racial diversity and friendships shown throughout the series. With catchy rhymes and snippets on some of the unique features of the land of Kimbria, the book takes you on a journey through the beautiful mountains, canyons, deserts, and sandy shores of the magical kingdom. No matter who you are or where you come from, King Ansgar and Queen Keholani of Kimbria welcome you. You will race a new foal, paint a turtle on her rump, play in the wide green fields below the tall mountains, and much more. You will also meet Tiyo, the herding dog.

Even readers who may not be familiar with the award-winning Windflower Saga series will find plenty to love In a Land Far Away. Hop on for a glorious adventure through a magical land where everyone receives equal opportunities to have fun. The book also introduces new readers to some of the most well-known characters of A Windflower Saga, such as Queen Keholani, her dog Tiyo, a foal named Sparkle, King Ansgar and Queen Keholani's children, and many more. Aleksandra Layland's worldbuilding is as phenomenal as ever, and in this book, you get another chance to immerse yourself in the story of Kimbria and its people. I have been a fan of A Windflower Saga for a while and thoroughly enjoyed this latest addition. Young readers are in for a treat with In a Land Far Away.
