In Your Dreams by Pamela Green is a magical journey into the beautiful world of dreams. Have you ever watched your newborn child sleep and wondered what glorious things are going through their mind as they dream? As the new mother rocks her infant child in her arms, the main character imagines different adventures her little boy may be experiencing. Is he traveling to other continents, navigating raging rivers, hiking a tall mountain range, touching the stars in outer space, or catching fireflies? No matter where this precious baby’s dream-filled mind wanders, we are reminded that life is an adventure to experience.
If there ever was a book I wanted to hug, it’s In Your Dreams. Every page is full of possibilities with thought-provoking questions. Pamela Green has written a love story for children from the depths of a mother's heart. I love everything about this story, from the lyrical rhythm with which the story unfolds to the beautiful watercolor illustrations by Cheryl Crouthamel. The whimsical drawings tell a story in themselves with beauty and vivid colors as backdrops to adventure-filled dreams. The swirling of soft colors builds a dream-like atmosphere for the reader to explore. My third granddaughter was recently born, and I asked that same question as I held her in my arms. I wondered if she remembered the glory of heaven or the drumming of her mother's heartbeat. In Your Dreams by Pamela Green is a must-read for parents and grandparents to enjoy with their children.
