Jesse was sent to a wildness program by the courts because of his drug problem. When Jesse runs away, his adoptive father Teddy risks his job to search for Jesse. He caught up with him at a bus stop in Illinois. Jesse is searching for his long lost biological sister, Theresa. Teddy joined him in the search. They found her in Kentucky. Theresa was living in an abusive situation. Jesse stabbed Beau when they had an squabble. Because of Jesse’s drug use and record, Teddy, Jesse, and Theresa flee with Beau chasing them, bent on revenge.
Gary Morgenstein is a master at twists and turns. His latest work, Jesse’s Girl is a masterpiece. The characters are exquisite. The plot will capture the reader’s attention and hold them captive until the last page. This book will appeal to young and old alike.
