"Judgment and Wrath" sees the return of Joe Hunter, once a Special Forces operative, now enjoying a nice and rather quiet life in Florida until he is called upon by Richard Dean. Dean's daughter, Marianne, is co-habiting with millionaire Bradley Jorgenson, and Dean wants her to come home. He shows Joe pictures of a battered Marianne, beaten by Bradley or so Dean claims. Joe accepts Dean's money and the job and then heads for Baker Island in Florida where the members of the Jorgenson family live. But Joe gets a surprise when he finds professional killer, the psychotic Dandalion, also at Bradley Jorgenson's home. Dandalion is not there to rescue Marianne; hired by a Jorgenson cousin, he is there to kill Bradley and Marianne. But Dandalion is not the average killer for hire. He has his own agenda of bringing about "judgment and wrath" and has been a cold-blooded killer since his childhood years when he shot and killed his depressed and grieving mother. Joe's friend Rink is at his side despite Rink's mother's failing health, as is Harvey who takes Marianne to safety while Joe attempts to save Bradley while he battles against brilliant, diabolic Dandalion.

"Judgment and Wrath" is a thriller's thriller. This well-written story has two major plots working nicely together: Dean's hiring of Joe Hunter to bring Marianne home and Dandalion's hiring by a Jorgenson cousin to kill both Marianne and her boyfriend Bradley. Joe Hunter, Rink, and their friends are good returning characters in "Judgment and Wrath". All major and minor characters help tell the story, and, psychotic Dandalion is totally believable in his crazed viewpoint of the world and his place in it. Thriller readers will love Joe Hunter's pursuit of Dandalion as the storyline proceeds to its conclusion.
