Kids Show Kids: Phonics, Kindness & Confidence! by Christine Pierre is a well-written book that offers children practical intellectual skills, positive morals, and confidence. Christine introduces three best friends, Ronen, Morley, and Billy the frog, embarking on a mission to spread kindness and take readers on a learning adventure. This adventure starts with rhymes about sunshine and kindness, among others, followed by hilarious jokes. It contains affirmation cards representing each letter of the alphabet, as well as simple exercises where they can fill in the missing words and complete sentences. It also features conversations on individual differences, respect for everyone, and what children can do when someone feels left out.
This is one of the most impactful and educational children's books I have come across recently because, beyond just learning, it helps kids build the right attitude, mindset, and learn basic skills they can use to build positive friendships with others. I commend the author for making this book simple, with well-developed characters, so that kids are not confused while reading. The font styles, colorful pages, and beautiful illustrations make this book more appealing for children to read. The jokes gave me a good laugh, and the color-your-kindness adventure section at the end makes this book practical for children to learn to differentiate between colors. The writing is concise and easy to comprehend. Themes featured include: kindness, empathy, self-development, critical thinking, and more. I recommend Kids Show Kids: Phonics, Kindness & Confidence! by Christine Pierre to all children, teachers, and caregivers.
