Life's Journey by Patricia S. Gibbons is the most fascinating book you will come across. You felt you were walking beside Penelope as she moved to Australia at the young age of nine. Life throws Penny many trials, but she always looks for a new challenge when a door closes in her life. The adoption of her two children is one of her greatest highlights but also brings danger to her door twice. I loved the vibrant outlook Penny had on life and the passionate protection of her children. Her honesty about her marriages, bravery in facing evil head-on, and striving to continue growing through difficult times is the foundation of who Penelope was in this story.

I found Life's Journey a pleasant read as Patricia S. Gibbons pulls you in with the life experiences of this incredible woman. The author gives this book a realistic feel as people come in and out of Penny's life. She stays close with her family throughout the story; they are her foundation when she faces dangerous times. The author keeps the story well-paced with events so that you don't realize you have skipped years of her life. Capturing the moment when sinister motives threaten Penny and her family keeps you glued to this book. The characters are well-developed and don't just live within the pages, but they will live in your heart as you recall dealings she has faced in life. You will finish with an appreciation for family, hope when life gets rough, and the knowledge that life will turn around.
