Christianity and other religions believe that everything in life can be traced back to God's creative ability. It is one thing to know this, and it is another thing for your child to come to this realization. Young Boone's parents took it upon themselves to teach him about God and how all the works of His hands reflect His love for us. Soon after, Boone starts to realize this and sees God in his everyday life and experiences. Like God in My Book? by Deana Perry shows the result of the inquisitive nature of a child and the beauty of God's creations, together with what He expects us to do as His children. Children between the ages of 4 and 7 would find Like God in My Book? an interesting and educational read.

Like God in My Book? comes with beautiful illustrations by Windel Eborlas that perfectly depict the story being narrated. It also contains Bible passages that correlate with each situation Boone finds himself in. One thing children can learn from reading Like God in My Book? is how God expects us to treat people. Children are also introduced to values like love, care, neighborliness, and other sensitive topics told from a biblical perspective. Young readers also get the chance to learn new words and improve their vocabulary. I recommend Like God in My Book? to youngsters whose parents want them to learn Christian values and know more about God. This is a beautiful book from Deana Perry.

Well written with credible, entertaining illustrations, this book is a necessary addition to any bookshelf.
It is remarkable the way the author was able to use one of the first words a child learns, that is actually a question.. “why?”, thus educating the child as to the importance of God in daily life.
This is a wonderful book for all ages, teaching family values and God’s love as answering the seemingly endless questions of young children.
A must buy, for yourself, your family, as well as making a caring, thoughtful gift.

Relatable family stories representing Biblical character for families. I enjoyed how each story was backed up by Biblical scripture as well as the simplicity for younger children to understand. The illustrations were well done as well, which enhanced each family story.
