The football season is upon us. Lipstick Football by Diana Weynand invites us to look at our lives through a prism of American football. Diana is a history maker. She played the women's professional tackle football with the Los Angeles Lasers, becoming their general manager later. Thus, Coach D (as she refers to herself) knows a thing or two about this great game. She offers to implement the eight Lipstick Football principles (Leap, Immerse, Play, Shine, Track, Initiate, Condition, Kick) in our everyday activities. These principles will help us achieve our wildest dreams. Also, Diana explains the rules of American football in the easiest way possible, making the most popular American sport closer to those who lack "Football DNA."
I must confess that I am an avid American football fan. At the same time, all my knowledge about this sport had only allowed me to distinguish an offense from a defense during a game. Lipstick Football was a game-changer. Now, I will be able to look deeper into any action on the field. Coach D skillfully showed me the beauty of the football field and explained that I could "gain yardage" using her Lipstick Football principles to achieve my goal, step by step. Thanks to this inspiring book by Diana Weynand, I discovered that after every action comes a reaction, and it doesn't mean that I should give up. The most amazing thing about this book is that it demonstrates how the Lipstick Football principles and the rules of American football, in general, can really correlate with our lives outside the sport. Thus, considering that the target audience of Lipstick Football is women, I would recommend it to a larger audience, to all those who are ready to admit that life sometimes imitates football.
