Little Miss History Travels to Alaska by Barbara Ann Mojica is unique. Instead of illustrations, the book contains tons of photographs, with a cartoon drawing of Little Miss History added to some of them. This book is full of facts and history and will teach kids lots of important things about Alaska; some of that history is quite relevant to events of today. This is an entertaining story, very well-written in easy-to-read language that every reader will understand. Although it is aimed at a younger audience, adults will find it useful too; I learned a lot from it! Alaska is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and diverse places on earth, and this book will allow readers to see it for themselves. Hopefully, it will pique their curiosity enough not just to visit but to help preserve the country’s culture. Books like this make history fun and exciting. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I think anyone who reads it will enjoy it too, no matter their age!
