Loreen has had her share of ups and downs and the roller coaster is just not ready to stop yet! All she wants to do is to get home to her dying mother and one thing after another seems to get in the way, starting with the fact that she is in prison. Stealing a country music star’s tour bus leads to some unique coincidences and allows for plenty of time to learn a few lessons about life along the way. In Loreen on the Lam: A Tennessee Mystery by Marielena Zuniga, several different mysteries come together and the more Loreen tries to remain isolated, the more she becomes entangled. Ironically, while she is running from the law, she ends up preventing one crime and solving another 25-year-old mystery. Through the intervention of what she comes to think must really be divine guidance, she manages to get back to her home town. The question is, exactly what is waiting for her?

With a touch of humor and a good dose of common sense, Loreen on the Lam tells a story of a life gone wrong that may be on the way to getting back on the right track. Loreen is forced to do a lot of thinking and as she discovers some truths about herself, some basic insights into personal choices, forgiveness, and redemption shine through to provide a brighter outlook on life. Loreen’s experiences teach a subtle lesson about never giving up in spite of personal trouble, heartache, and loss. This is a terrific story told with a hint of the South that begs for the pages to keep on turning.

I was absolutely thrilled with this review of my book. The reviewer, Melinda Hills, really "got" the character of Loreen and the messages in this book. It's a Southern romp and a fun read, with some good lessons sprinkled throughout.

I don"t usually take time to write commentary after reading a book. This one is an exception.I was given the opportunity to read this book by a friend who thought it would be a good one for me.How right she was.The story is compelling and the characters are incredibly well developed. The experience was a multi-sensory delight. There were moments that made me cry,as well as laugh out loud.Don't think that you can predict where this mystery will take you. It is an edge of the seat experience right up til the last page. There were moments that left me examining my own conscience and views. In the end,I find myself begging for more.I sure hope that the Author continues this tale. Her ability to provide the reader such a rich experience should be shared by many.Consider me a Marielana Zuniga fan.I could see this story on the screen.Congrats to the Author.Looking for more.
Happy reading.
