She felt inadequate and turned to a Facebook married friend, Joe, for love. Joe and Tricia planned to meet in Vegas, but when he couldn’t make it, he sent his friend, Al. Somehow, Tricia met her demise. Her heartbroken son fell off the straight and narrow, leading to his death. The lives of Tricia’s best friend, Sally, and her family also felt a hard impact. Dave had lost his wife and son; only revenge could satisfy him. He was hell-bent on ruining Joe's and Al’s lives. Will Dave succeed or be caught in his own trap? Find out in Love and Payback by Irene Woodbury.
Love and Payback by Irene Woodbury is reality in a book. The plot is unique and displays love, loyalty, eternal friendship, grief, and support. A seemingly innocent affair materialized into a spinning snowball that rammed into everyone, leaving disaster in its wake. Some parents often forget the burden of their family’s stability rests on their shoulders. Hence, whatever decision they make has dire consequences for everyone. It also seemed like Mike learned nothing. I loved the character development as they were consistent and their displayed emotions tugged at my heart. My heart broke for Sally because she suffered the most. She was a gentle yet strong woman who spat fire when the need arose. Irene is a talented storyteller with a writing style that is easy to follow. I’d love to learn how Mike and Stella fared.
