Debbie Hightower's Love You To The Moon And Back follows the adventures of a sixty-two-year-old retired nurse on her quest for fulfillment. It's been three months since Charlene's husband passed away, and life hasn't been the same for her. Feeling tired of her seemingly ordinary life, Charlene books a ticket for an exciting expedition that involves a two-week stay at one of the lunar bases on the moon. Soon, Charlene is on her way to the moon and begins her EVA training to make an excursion on the moon's surface. Along the way, she makes many friends. However, things go haywire on the day of the return of the lunar tourists. Forced into a prolonged stay, Charlene must step up, guide her fellow travelers through her faith, and fulfill her destiny.
Love You To The Moon And Back is a story about faith, fulfillment, and self-discovery. This heartwarming tale engrosses you from the first page to the last and leaves you with hope for a better tomorrow. Through one woman's journey of self-discovery, author Debbie Hightower demonstrates the power of faith and how it helps people overcome adversity in trying times. Charlene's character development -- from being a retired nurse seeking adventure and fulfillment to becoming a spiritual leader among her fellow travelers -- was one of the book's highlights for me. I also liked the different relationship dynamics between the members of the lunar expedition team. The ending is very satisfying, and I think readers will enjoy it a lot. Overall, it's an inspirational adventure tale that will appeal to a broad range of readers!
