We have innate empathy and goodness embedded in us since birth, and we must continue to nurture these qualities as adults. According to author Dayna Mason, how we conduct ourselves in our personal lives also affects the way we approach our businesses and professional lives. In Magnanimous: Be The One Everyone Wants To Do Business With, Mason sheds light on how being magnanimous can help us grow and lead a fulfilling life based on mutual respect and dignity. Being magnanimous entails seeing obstacles as temporary hurdles to overcome, having a positive attitude, being non-judgmental, and taking a genuine interest in others and their needs and desires. The book showcases the need to work for the benefit of clients and improve interpersonal skills to facilitate a mutually beneficial culture and environment that leads to better rewards.

Author Dayna Mason offers readers a holistic approach to business and life, focusing on connecting with others by making them feel important, making good decisions, navigating failure, and choosing one's priorities. Magnanimous will teach you how to build trust through honesty, improve communication with coworkers and clients, use intuition for better decision-making, and foster bonds with others through authenticity and genuine care and respect. This is not a typical self-help handbook with a clear set of instructions to reach your goals, but rather, a gentle guide that shows you a path to fulfillment and happiness using your core values and inner empathy, which is also beneficial to others. Mason is concise with the subject matter, and it makes for a smooth and breezy read that will appeal to a broad range of readers. I found the book very educational and inspiring, and you should too.
