Pastor Errol Beckford is the Senior Pastor of celebration Tabernacle Church in Cocoa, Florida. For over twenty years, he has been discipling men and women, under any circumstances, on how to succeed in life. He brings individuals and families to Christ, sees them become active members in churches, get their family lives in order, obtain gainful employment, and go on to evangelize. Using his experiences as a reference, Errol Beckford Ministries, Inc. (his personal ministry) published a book, “Make Life Work”, which uses examples from his life as well as other people’s success stories to distill the secrets of turning failures into successes and fulfilling one’s purpose in life.
Originally from Jamaica, Pastor Beckford graduated from the University of New York with a degree in business. God has utilized his knowledge in this aspect to build His Kingdom. Pastor Beckford is CEO of “Marketplace Ministry” which keeps local funds in the area by placing volunteers in christian based businesses to teach them necessary on the job skills to utilize for gainful employment. Marketplace Ministry also employs individuals with “undesirable” backgrounds such as criminal histories, lengthy stretches of unemployment, or no experience in job skills, to become employed and gain experience while being provided an income. Marketplace Ministry blankets the retail stores: Celebration Used Furniture and Appliance, Celebration Thrift Store, and Celebration Pizza and Pasta.
Pastor Beckford’s real estate aquisitions have taken dilapadated, crime-harboring, and deteriorating properties to restructure them into functioning pillars of the neighborhoods they were erected in, raising property values and inviting outside commerce into the areas. He has renovated two residential properties for individuals in transition as well as five, low income, single family residences. These properties provide stability for individuals and families in transition on their path to successful living as well as concentrating efforts on changing the face of the neighborhoods that the residences are located in. He is also President of Alternative Behavior Services, Inc. which is a mental health and substance abuse counseling center. An advocate for empowering people to take control of their lives, he is dedicated to sharing his experiences and knowledgable concepts that help people make positive changes. He also sits on the Board of Economic Development and the Strategic Planning Board for the City of Cocoa. He certainly has a heart for Cocoa, in the heart of Cocoa!
