Survivors are confined to ‘human sanctuaries,’ governed by a select elite who have garnered wisdom from past adversities. Brisha emphasizes the scourge of military and religious dictatorships, which perpetuate oppression, violence, poverty, and extremism in this society, resulting in a thought-provoking exploration of societal collapse, governance, and humanity’s survival instincts in the face of catastrophe.
