Master the Law of Attraction: 7 steps in 17 Little Days is a nonfiction motivational self-help book written by Steven Marie. While there are any number of books out there that purport to show the reader how to master the law of attraction, readers often find themselves giving up in frustration. Marie aims to alter his readers’ perceptions of what the law of attraction actually is and how to make it work for them -- and to achieve that within 17 days. He begins with an introduction to physics and the physical world, and he explains how all matter is made up of vibrating strings. Our consciousness and minds are “manifestations of these strings.” If we can learn to focus our energy on what we desire, we’ve taken the first step towards mastery of the law. Marie shows how one needs to set a time for and define the steps taken in that quest, as well as to learn how to determine the precise amount of energy needed during the process. He begins his 17-day program with a three-day challenge that allows the reader to establish calm and control over their mind and its functioning.

Steven Marie’s nonfiction motivational self-help book, Master the Law of Attraction: 7 steps in 17 Little Days, doesn’t give the reader all of the answers and methods to instantly attract everything you’ve ever wanted. What he does do is to give a concise accounting of the methodology and philosophy behind the Law of Attraction. He then immerses the reader in a program that shows, step-by-step, how to achieve one’s goals and dreams. I’ve read a number of books on the subject and wondered what would be different about Marie’s approach to the subject. I was pleased to find that Marie takes things quite literally from the atomic level and eloquently builds up the belief system behind the Attraction theory to enable the reader to practice and succeed on his own. His program, though brief in its time frame, is still not an easy one. There’s a lot of work expected on the part of the reader, but given the possible rewards, I would think most people would find the time and effort well spent. This well-written and engaging guide helps you do just that. Master the Law of Attraction: 7 steps in 17 Little Days is highly recommended.

In Master the Law of Attraction, author Steven Marie introduces readers to “the power of a law that regulates the universe, called the Law of Attraction” (LOA). He suggests that each person is a product of what they think about. So when a person seeks life change, focusing on their thoughts would be the natural place to begin. This is because the world is made up of energy and of matter that vibrates, creating more energy. Since a person’s thoughts and words create energy, the trick is to find ways to create energy that works in your favor—that will help you to create the reality you desire. Marie discusses how to gain energy so that the Universe will “be receptive and responsive to the realization” of your dreams. He then offers a series of seven steps to use over the course of just over two weeks, the goal being to change your life. These steps include gaining control over and directing your thoughts in new ways; gathering energy through such things as a change in diet, access to the outdoors, and purer water; identifying your goals; accepting “failure” as a step toward ultimate success; improving your level of consciousness; and finally, using the fuel of success for more success.

Steven Marie offers his information on the LOA in a manner that is simple, easy to read, and understand. Even for the reader who finds themselves a bit of a skeptic with regard to some of the particulars offered, the materials provide sufficient basis either to try something, or at least not to dismiss it out of hand. Many of the ideas are easy to incorporate into everyday living and it seems that even a reader who is not intent on following the full suggested regimen is sure to take something positive and useful away from Master the Law of Attraction.

His methodology is simple and makes a great deal of sense. Follow his seventeen-day program to build the foundation and then spend a lifetime mastering the technique of drawing the very best things to you. Practical, easy to follow, and founded in practices that have been handed down for thousands of years, Master the Law of Attraction will allow you the opportunity to draw to you those things in life which you desire most.

Specifically, Master the Law of Attraction talks about the Laws of Attraction in the universe, which means that whatever energy or vibe one puts out is reflected back upon us and affects the outcome of our lives. In other words, our thoughts, actions, feelings, etc. have a direct effect on what happens to us and can affect the external environment. This book is a how-to guide on how to channel this energy and learn to master our thoughts, wishes, dreams, feelings, etc. so that we can get and achieve what we want in our lives. In this sense, according to the book, life is an active process which we can control with consciousness, and is not passive.

Master the Law of Attraction: 7 steps in 17 Little Days is essentially a step-by-step guide on how to achieve this state of managing ourselves and our environment so we can attract the energy we want in the universe. The book is broken down into seven main chapters and provides tips and methods on ways to achieve this. What I liked the most about this book are the references to quantum theory and mechanics sprinkled throughout. Here, science meets philosophy and it is very interesting to read about what consciousness can do and what it is, both scientifically and spiritually. The writing is at times a bit exaggerated, in the sense that it felt like a marketing push or sales pitch. But, overall, the subject matter is so interesting and engaging that it makes this a good read.
