He’s rather shy and even though his siblings have long since ventured out alone, Max prefers to stay close to his Mama. You see, he’s rather afraid of being on his own. However, that’s about to change. One day, so intent on studying a beautiful dragonfly, he loses sight of his Mama. All alone, he must gather the courage he needs to swim on and find her. Along the way, he meets other creatures who encourage him to be brave. Not only does Max feel confident that his Mama has prepared him well to survive alone, but he’s also learning that he has some special gifts of his own that other creatures don’t have.
