Ann Marie Thomas has shared part of English history that is often missed in American courses. In Medieval Gower Stories, Ann Marie shares her love for her area of Great Britain most entertainingly. She tells stories of the Gower area. She gives the history of that part of Wales and how the Normans treated the Welsh. Her stories are fresh and intriguing. If you, like most Americans, are interested in British royalty’s murder and mayhem, then you will love this book. Kings killing nephews, friends, and opponents. Loyalty changing direction. The overthrow of thrones. Rebellion and revenge. All these issues are in this little book by Ann Marie.

After a stroke, Ann Marie spent her time researching Swansea Castle and combined the results of her research with her life-long desire to write. She has authored several books on what she learned in her studies in the area. This history is anything but boring.
