Kathleen Y’Barbo has once again created an intriguing story filled with romance, deception, and mystery in her book Millie’s Treasure, which is Book Two in her The Secret Lives of Will Tucker series. Millie is a smart woman, smart in terms of books and solving puzzles, but not so much in terms of love and reading people. Millie’s fiancé, Sir William, has many secrets, including his name and who he really is; Millie is oblivious to these facts. Millie is leading a secretive life of her own as she is searching for a treasure and hiding her true interests from those who would not approve. When Millie meets Kyle, a Pinkerton agent, there is a connection which goes deeper than the connection they both have with Will Tucker aka Sir William.
I am a huge fan of Kathleen Y’Barbo’s work and her latest novel, Millie’s Treasure, does not disappoint. Millie’s Treasure continues the saga of searching for Will Tucker, but also shares a story of love found between Millie and Kyle, which neither one of these individuals was searching for. Kathleen is a talented writer and weaves together a story that is sweet and mysterious while being filled with lovable characters.
The book also moves at a pace that keeps the reader engrossed in the story from start to finish. I am looking forward to Book Three in this series and cannot wait to read Sadie’s story in the midst of continuing to track down and corner Will Tucker.
