Life is difficult and we each deal with it in our own special way. Despite the stresses that surround us daily, we have to seek healthy ways of handling it. In this self-help book, Miracles of Recovery: Daily Meditations of Hope, Courage and Faith by Harriet Hunter, the author's goal is to help others realize and understand that you can begin your journey to recovery just like she did. It is a daily walk so don't give up, stay the course. You have to intentionally work at recovery and to do this, you need a variety of tools and resources found in this book. As the author states, the hope is to recognize yourself as you walk through your daily inspirational journey while using this book. Each day you are blessed with words of the day from change, hope, and trust to peace along with the meditation for the day. To help enrich your experience, there are daily quotes and the author also offers the next steps.
Miracles of Recovery: Daily Meditations of Hope, Courage and Faith by Harriet Hunter is a great choice if you're struggling with addiction because it offers a full year of inspiration and affirmations which I enjoyed. I see this book as a mentor or sponsor that is walking by your side and helping to lead you to a better, more improved you while teaching you how to deal with your stressors. The best teacher is someone who has been there and done that and this book doesn't disappoint. The author knows first hand what it takes and how it feels to be addicted, and the journey to recovery. If you need help along your journey, pick up a copy of this book; it's highly recommended.
