Two young brothers, Jaxson and James, are playing with their football. Unfortunately, it flies off course and ruins something their mother loves dearly. While on their way to tell her what has happened, they notice something odd; a pretty little bee that needs their help. Neither knows how to help the bee, but their mother has an idea. After trying to help Missy the Bee, their mother notices something out of the ordinary in her garden. Will Jaxson and James tell their mother the truth? Will they get into trouble for taking so long to explain their accident? Are they able to help Missy the Bee? Find out in Missy Bee by Amy Louise Hill.

Missy Bee by Amy Louise Hill is an adorable story that will inspire young kids to tell the truth even in the most unusual situations. The characters interact in the same way as a typical family, making them relatable and enjoyable. The appearance of the injured bee and the way the mother steps in to help will allow young kids to see the wisdom their parents have in a new light. The illustrations are beautiful and match the story perfectly. I love the hidden messages about honesty, helping others in need, and behaving respectfully, even if it might get you into trouble. I recommend it to anyone with young children and hope to see more children’s stories by this author.
