Misty Lake: Book One in the Misty Lake Series by Margaret Standafer was an absolutely wonderful whirlwind of a ride. I was sucked in quickly and just had to keep reading. The scenes were wonderfully crafted by the author and well written. The words jumped off the page and I could easily picture everything the author wanted me to see. The characters were so strong and lively but each had their own difficulties. The growing trust was wonderful to see and is something people outside fiction should learn. I thought I knew where Misty Lake was going but there were a few twists that had me stumbling, convinced I had missed something. I'm so excited to see where this series goes and happy to say that I have a new author to follow in Margaret Standafer!
