Author Biography

Terry Lein is a Registered Nurse who is known for her love of dogs. She grew up in Louisiana with several dogs over her childhood years ranging from shelter dogs to pure bred retrievers. As an adult her love for dogs continued with her passion geared toward retrievers.When her son was little, she got a Golden Retriever named Moose so that the two could grow up together. Moose had an instant bond with her son creating many years of adventures with joy and love. In 2021 Moose was diagnosed with a megaesophagus and was not expected to live long but, with love and determination Terry and her son Thomas nurtured the dog to live another two years. During those two years, Terry decided she wanted to share this great dog with kids all over the world. This led to the book Moose the Oldie Goldie being written. Social media pages were created showing the antics of all their dogs. Moose will live on in memories and the books that are and will be written. Take a minute to read the book and learn how that a loving relationship with a dog is the best thing in the world

Moose the Oldie Goldie by Terry A Lein is a delightful illustrated story about what happens when dogs age. Moose the Golden Retriever has had a long, happy life with his boy, with lots of adventures, and plenty of loving memories. As he gets older, things don't work as well as they should anymore, but he still has his memories, and one thing has never changed – the devotion and unconditional love he has for his boy. Join Moose on his journey through life to understand the everlasting bond with a dog.

Moose the Oldie Goldie by Terry A Lein is beautifully illustrated by Joshua Wichterich. This is a wonderful story that teaches kids and adults how dogs age and the changes they go through. It also teaches them that a dog's love is unconditional and endless. The story is written in rhyme, making it easy for kids of all ages to follow and understand. It's an easy and heartwarming read, and the illustrations bring it nicely to life. The story is about a real dog called Moose, and a lovely photo of him graces the start of the book. Dogs remember everything about their lives, and this story teaches that it's down to us to make sure our dogs have a great life full of happy memories and amazing adventures. It also tells us to treat our dogs with the same kindness and love they show us. This is a beautiful story, and every child in the world should read it.
