My Cat Thinks He’s a Puppy by Patricia Allieri is a 24-page children’s picture book about Puppy-Cat, a fun companion who brings adventures to life. This frisky feline seems to act more like a puppy dog than a cat. While this comparison is being made, we find color and charm in the pages of this book. For those of you who think that dogs are the best companion to have, you might want to think again. According to the author, these furry animals can have fun and play just like any of the other likable characters, including taking walks, which I can relate to. The water would be new for me to see, but there you have it. Cats can be just as much fun and crazy as dogs when it comes to them being your pets. If you love them just as this little girl does, then you’ll have a great life together.
Your child may be trying to decide what kind of pet would be best to have, or perhaps they just are cat lovers. Either way, this book is a celebration of those furry, curious, independent, and adventurous animals. The artwork is colorful and detailed, drawing the reader in and capturing the fun and excitement of child-animal companionship. The comical scenes will entertain kids of all ages. My Cat Thinks He’s a Puppy by Patricia Allieri is a perfect fit for children learning to read lyrics while enjoying the colorful cat antics that fill the pages. Highly recommended.
