My Daddy is in Heaven by Alexander R Della Cerra and Dr. Shawna L Della Cerra is a beautiful picture book for young children. Has your child recently suffered the loss of a loved one and do they struggle with what they are feeling? This book will guide them through this difficult time. A young dinosaur loses his dad at a young age and battles with the emotions he feels. Some days he's sad and confused, and others, he's happy. The dinosaur knows his father would want him to succeed in everything he does, and more importantly, he'd want him to live his life to the fullest.
My Daddy is in Heaven brought tears to my eyes. Having lost my dad at a young-ish age, I know exactly how it feels. To imagine what effect it has on a child is unbearable to even contemplate. Alexander R Della Cerra and Dr. Shawna L Della Cerra have done an amazing job at creating a book that children and parents will benefit from. Whether it's a parent or grandparent, this book will help them through the grieving process. The illustrations by the incredible Ryan Law are adorable and children will love them. Pick up a copy of this book if your child needs a helping hand in dealing with this horrible life change. I hope that this team continues to write more books for children as they have a talent for it. Keep up the great work.
