My Goodbye Girl by Anna Gomez is a charming and enjoyable romantic drama that is best suited to the general adult reading audience. We find ourselves following the exploits of protagonist Tessa Talman, whose freewheeling life leads her all over the world as she enjoys travel and writing about romance. But when her travels lead her to the practical and handsome Simon Fremont, Tessa begins to wonder if there may be more adventures in life than she thought. As Tessa and Simon continue to meet up in different parts of the world, an unimaginably difficult future awaits, and Tessa doesn’t know if she’s strong enough for the journey ahead.

Anna Gomez has crafted a powerful work of drama that combines romance and an emotive slice-of-life style of fiction well. There’s a grounded feeling to the work that is beautifully offset by the meta element of Tessa herself being a romance author, which pitches the idea of fantasy relationships and real feelings against one another in interesting ways. Both Tessa and Simon are very well fleshed out, shaped by their exotic adventures and the encounters they have whenever their paths cross. There is certainly tragedy to the tale, but there’s bittersweet beauty to be found in it, and Tessa’s emotional journey overall is one that readers will find inspiring and satisfying by the novel’s conclusion. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend My Goodbye Girl as an essential read for fans of highly accomplished women’s fiction and romantic dramas.

Simon Fremont falls in love with Tessa Talman almost immediately upon meeting her on the flight from Boston to New York. He does something unthinkable for such a serious young man and puts his business card in her purse. They begin dating, following each other around the globe despite their diametrically opposed lifestyles. But Tessa, a successful author of romance novels, is not ready for serious commitments. She prefers to live in the present moment, while Simon, a young but established researcher in the field of nanotechnology, dreams of a stable life with her. Tessa lost her parents when she was only fourteen, and her brother, Jacob, is her only family. Simon's medical condition threatens his health significantly. Then, an enormous tragedy in Paris tests Tessa's strength and ability to survive. My Goodbye Girl by Anna Gomez is an emotional and captivating story for fans of romance, drama, and psychological novels.

My Goodbye Girl is a beautiful reminder to us that true love exists. Anna Gomez depicts two loving people who are genuine in their feelings. Tessa and Simon are so different, yet they find each other. The story is narrated from two perspectives that give us a better glimpse of Tessa's and Simon's inner lives to balance the tale perfectly. I like that Tessa can be impetuous but is always ready to admit her mistakes. Anna masterfully shows us how to cope with insecurities and psychological traumas. Tessa tells us that we often concentrate on our losses, forgetting to cherish our blessings. For me, it's the most important message of the book. Anna crafted an unpredictable plotline with dramatic accord and memorable secondary characters, like Jacob, the epitome of a caring big brother. Written in the best traditions of love stories, this promises to become a modern classic.

Tessa Talman was an emerging author who shot to fame with a best-selling romantic novel. She met Simon Fremont, a successful scientist, on a flight from Boston to La Guardia, and it was lust at first sight. While Simon was a meticulous planner, Tessa floated through life. Tessa feared commitment because she had suffered terrible losses that made her wary of attachments, so the duo engaged in brief trysts and returned to their public lives. However, a night out with different dates in Hong Kong sparked a fire that burned through to their core. Tessa and Simon knew that they wanted a commitment from each other. But would this fire burn long enough to shed their inhibitions, sustain their passion, and maybe deliver everlasting love? Find out in My Goodbye Girl by Anna Gomez.

If you thought that a story could make you cry, here is a book that will break your heart even more. My Goodbye Girl by Anna Gomez is a fantastic page-turner that is both sweet and sour. This novel is a story of love, loss, faith, commitment, familial bonds, hope, and resolve. It is for everyone who has suffered loss and avoids attachment for fear of losing more. Please dare to love and receive the same. The tale showed me how fear makes people self-sabotage while becoming self-absorbed. I also saw the solitary lives of public figures, even though they are surrounded by multitudes. I realized that we must cultivate healthy personal relationships because life at the top is lonely. I loved the development, storyline, and unique characters in this three-part book. Simon and Riley were my favorite characters, and the event in Paris made me cry. Anna is a talented writer who should write more stories.
