Ms. Holly liked to teach. The children thought there was something special about her. She was always cheerful and she looked at everything as being magical, including homework. There was always a jingle when she walked. Ms. Holly also loved to sing and she sang all the time, in the morning during math class and when they cleaned up. Children often wondered how she could get her toes into her pointy shoes. Ms. Holly was an elf and, just like any of them, she was crafty and good at making gifts. Elves always drink hot cocoa before they get their day started. Ms. Holly ate a lot of chocolates when she was teaching and the students loved her. Would you love to have a teacher like Ms. Holly?

My Teacher is an Elf (The Wonder Who Crew) by Joey and Melanie Acker is an adorable story that will not only make children smile but will also make them more observant about their teachers. The story is also about how a teacher loves her students and how the students love their teacher. The illustrations are lively and make the story and characters tangible to young readers. The book is a cute one to gift, especially to teachers. I like the way the authors have made a regular teacher look extraordinary and made bonding with students magical. It is a good storybook for parents and tutors to read out to youngsters, making them wish that every teacher was an elf.
