When King Madrick I and Queen Fionella of Masor decided to walk into the woods to celebrate their fortieth wedding anniversary, they had no idea it would be their last. The news of their demise, a few weeks later, leaves their kin—Prince Madrick II and Princess Isolda—and Masor devastated. Masorians believe the fairies are behind the royal couple’s deaths, given that the woods are fairy territory. Isolda assumes the duties of the throne, as her drunken brother, the heir to the throne, is unfit to rule. However, the fairies had witnessed the murder of the royal couple, orchestrated by a vengeful and evil royal from Pavoline, a neighboring kingdom. Will the Masorians believe the fairies? The wicked royal is about to bring overwhelming strife to Masor, thanks to his acquisition of a powerful legendary artifact. Only Leanna can stop him. But is she ready to follow her destiny? Find out in The Legend of Leanna Page Volume One: A Beginning by Cedar Flyte.

If you are looking for an epic fantasy flavored with mythical lore, adventure, a splash of drama and romance, plot twists, and suspense, The Legend of Leanna Page by Cedar Flyte is a perfect pick. The introduction promises an incredible adventure. Flyte weaves a compelling tale of love, fate, betrayal, despair, vengeance, power struggles, magic, and dark secrets. The poetic prose unfolds at a deliberate pace, allowing readers to connect with the well-crafted cast. Every character is either hiding something or from something. Their only way out of the cycle of running and hiding demands great sacrifices. The cinematic depictions vividly captured the medieval setting and made me feel as if I were next to the cast, experiencing every moment. I could see the breathtaking view of the kingdom of Masor from the elegant palace, the cave humming with magic, and the rare beauty of nature in the woods. This page turner is an amazing debut in the Elenvian Adventures series, and I can’t wait to read the next installment.

Cedar Flyte’s The Legend of Leanna Page is a fantasy novel set in Elenvia, a place where human kingdoms stand beside the magical Infinite Wood. It follows two human servants, Byrdon and Esta, and two fairy warriors as they secretly raise two special children, Leanna and Kennedy, in a hidden cave, shielding them from a divided world shaped by fear and conflict around them. The children grow up learning about their magical powers and trying to understand the tensions between humans and fairies. As they grow older, they begin exploring the world outside the cave, facing social divisions, old prejudices, and unexpected dangers. The story focuses on their friendships, their growth, and the challenging decisions they have to make living in a split world. Will Leanna and Kennedy ever discover their true roles and find a place where they belong?

Cedar Flyte’s The Legend of Leanna Page blends epic fantasy, political themes, and moral challenges in a single connected story. It shows how one action can change many lives. Flyte’s captivating writing sounds like a tale handed down through generations, giving it a lasting sense of history over time through many voices. The land of Elenvia is fully built, from human kingdoms to forests and fairy lands. The main cast grows by learning from mistakes and facing challenges, rather than through dramatic heroics. The story includes both children and adults, showing how people handle responsibility in different ways. Family, loyalty, and bridging divides are central themes, and the story shows how understanding and cooperation matter in a divided world. I recommend this book to readers who enjoy fantasy with magic, moral questions, and detailed worldbuilding and careful setting design.

In The Legend of Leanna Page: The Beginning by Cedar Flyte, book one in the titular series, Leanna Page is born in secrecy along a river that divides two kingdoms bound by a fragile treaty and a shared history of violence. When the deaths of the monarchs are blamed on the wrong enemy, fear hardens into policy, and a forbidden artifact reenters the world, granting its holder command over the weather, the land, and allegiances. As rulers pursue control through denial and coercion, Leanna becomes increasingly difficult to ignore, not because she seeks authority, but because her presence disrupts every attempt to stabilize power through force. Moving between courts, borders, and hidden spaces, she is drawn into the struggle over who may wield the artifact and at what cost.

In The Beginning, Cedar Flyte builds a secondary world whose most arresting feature is not its marvels but its moral weight, made plain through incidents and consequences. Midway through the book, when Leanna Page is appointed to lead a river expedition and is later confined under treason law for the same journey, the reader sees how lawful order bends to protect itself, even as famine spreads and aid is withheld by decree. The same gravity attends the scenes in which her life is turned into a play by the Woodbound Players, where inaccuracies are kept because the performance steadies the audience and closes a story that history has not finished. Flyte writes with patience for the process and consequences, showing how borders are strengthened by ink and ceremony before a stone is ever laid. Flyte has given us a spectacular entry into the series, and I am really hopeful about what is to come.
