Niagara Rats by S. Collins is a wild, ridiculous ride that starts with Pankaj Singh, a regular guitarist, getting hypnotized—and somehow discovering he’s the reincarnation of Hitler. Things go off the rails fast when his therapist accidentally spills the secret in his sleep, and suddenly, Pankaj has all kinds of people chasing him, from Antifa to neo-Nazis. The only person who might actually save him? His wife, nicknamed 'Godzilla,' who has no problem bending the law to protect him. What follows is a completely chaotic, darkly funny adventure packed with satire, absurd situations, and some hilariously bad decisions. It’s the kind of story where you don’t know what’s going to happen next, but you know it’s going to be insane.

S. Collins’ writing is sharp, fast, and genuinely funny, making this bizarre premise work perfectly. The way everything escalates from a harmless hypnosis session into total mayhem kept me hooked, and underneath all the madness there’s some surprisingly clever social commentary. Godzilla is easily one of the best parts of the book—her tough, take-no-prisoners attitude makes her both hilarious and oddly relatable. Despite the craziness, the story has real depth, tackling themes of identity, media hysteria, and the way people react to controversy, all without ever feeling preachy. The humor keeps everything moving, making even the most ridiculous moments meaningful in their own way. Overall, Niagara Rats is a must-read for anyone who loves sharp satire, dark humor, and stories that are as smart as they are completely off-the-wall.
