Olivia Lauren’s Occupations A to Z: A Children’s Guide to Jobs And Careers by Melissa-Sue John is an educational and informative book for children that will take them on an exciting trip, giving them insights into different occupations. An occupation is a job, profession, or career, and this journey uses the different letters of the alphabet to introduce children to the various options for them to choose. This book is an excellent tool for youngsters and gives them awareness on what they can be when they grow up. So whether a child wants to become a pilot, a nanny, a song writer, a scientist, or anything else; this book has them all.

The topic chosen is fresh and unconventional and the author makes it interesting and engaging to readers with colorful illustrations that grab readers' interest. The information provided is accurate and will encourage children to have conversations with their parents, teachers, and adults on different occupations and their ambitions. This book is a good way to speak to children about their ambitions, their aims, goals, plans, and dreams, and guide them accordingly. It is a good book for classroom read aloud sessions as the various types of jobs can be explained and discussed with the students to find out what interests them and what they want to become when they grow up. Informative books like this should be introduced to children at an early age, as it is good for them to enhance their knowledge.
