On the Amazon: Adventures with Grandma and Grandpa Jones is written by Casey Jones as he tells the stories passed on to him from his grandparents. From Lima to Iquitos, Jones takes readers on a fun and interesting ride through the stories Grandma and Grandpa Jones shared with him. The adventure takes kids on an exciting boat ride through the Amazon rain forest and the surrounding area so that they may learn more about life in South America. From exploring the Amazon River by motorboat and canoe, reveling in the sights and animals they encounter, trading for interesting items with the local people to crocodile hunting by flashlight at night, On the Amazon is an adventure anyone can get caught up in. Would you like to ride a bus that floats to school or have a sloth or a monkey for a pet and trade for beautifully handmade items with the natives of the Amazon?

I loved On the Amazon: Adventures with Grandma and Grandpa Jones by Casey Jones. The plot is very well laid-out as Jones takes the reader on a fascinating trip through the Amazon. The people in the story are explained so anyone can easily understand and embrace the cultural differences. The pictures Jones provided help the reader get lost in the adventure and experience the Amazon River and rain forest through imagery. I recommend On the Amazon to anyone who enjoys the fun of exploring and learning about different locations and cultures. I look forward to reading many more adventures like On the Amazon as the author explores some of the most interesting cultures around the world.
