Christmas is the most magical time of the year – and no place is more magical than Disney World. Sophie’s sister and best friend died, and her eight-year-old niece Ariel only had one wish for Santa Claus. She wanted to spend Christmas at Disney World. Although Sophie had her own grief, and did not have fond memories of the amusement park, she could not say no to Ariel. She made the arrangements to spend a few days alone with Ariel, and then her brother-in-law and parents would share the holidays with her. Sophie’s plans were then to travel to the ski slopes of Colorado with her boyfriend, Darren, to meet his family for the first time. In Once Upon a Romance: A Dream Come True Book 1, written by Alex Bailey, a heartwarming holiday adventure unfolds. Not only does Sophie’s grief find healing, but other magical surprises find her.
This book offers an easy to read, entertaining story. It is written in a smooth, flowing manner, and the reader is engaged from the first page to the last. The characters are well defined, and soon it becomes evident who is supportive of Sophie and Ariel and their goal of reliving some wonderful memories. A sprinkle of magical dust provides some balance to the painful separation that they have experienced. Author Alex Bailey has written a delightful holiday romantic story in Once Upon a Romance: A Dream Come True Book 1. It is the perfect read for this time of the year, and fortunately it seems to be the first of a series.
