Women frequently threw themselves at Justin Carpenter, author, producer, former SEAL and DEA; after all, he was handsome and extremely wealth. When Valerie Kingston failed to trick him into marrying her, she set her heart on revenge. Successful romance author, Jamie Allyn Parker, had been married to police detective Michael Parker for fifteen years. The couple had a teenage daughter. Michael seemed a bit jealous of her success as a writer and angry and suspicious when he learned that she going away for a week. She was ecstatic when her agent Grant Travers called to say she had a movie deal. Grant arranged for her to fly into LA with Justin. From the moment Justin and Jamie met, there was a spark of passion in the air. The sight of a wedding band had always set Justin’s boundaries. He was not interested in being the other man. Jamie had always been a faithful wife; never thinking to take a lover. While they try to control their growing love for each other, the pull is too strong. Spurred lover Valerie sets her plot for revenge in motion bringing about destruction and death, leaving Jamie guilt-ridden. One night of passion would change their lives forever.
Patricia Oshier Bruening is an extremely talented writer. Her latest tale, One Fateful Night, is filled with action, passion, and romance. This story grasps the reader’s attention and draws them into the drama of Jamie’s life. One Fateful Night is a saga that will leave the reader breathless. The characters are well- developed. Jamie is slightly reticence, unaware of her beauty and self worth. Justin is vulnerable, yet strong. Michael is a dark character. I could sense the undercurrent of violence in his personality. This would make a great movie. I highly recommend One Fateful Night to fans of suspense and romance. Very well done Ms. Bruening
