Owen Parr’s Opportunity Sought and Applied II brings together twenty-three imagined conversations with people whose work expanded what others believed possible. Beginning with Benjamin Franklin in 1789 Philadelphia, the author steps into each person’s world to ask how an opportunity first became visible and what turned that opening into useful work. The historical chapters span centuries of invention, with Part II entering contemporary business as the same question follows founders inside companies built for modern customers. The author’s background in finance becomes part of the conversations as he connects older lessons to decisions facing readers today. By the time Ray Kroc appears in 1954 San Bernardino, the book has moved from seeking opportunity to applying it. The result is a wide-ranging study of how preparation turns possibility into practice.
