Did you know that mammals are our distant relatives? Animals are not so different from us. Our Big Family by Peter Marsh is a delightful book, featuring photographs of various animals from all over the world. These photos show how animals act and behave just like us. Some of the pictures include a giraffe nuzzling her calf in a South African National Park, a mama kangaroo with a young joey in her pouch, a polar bear with her cub, and many more animal mom and baby interactions in the wild. Readers will also discover interspecies friendship through these pictures, with a gorilla bottle-feeding a kitten, a giant tortoise roaming alongside a hippo in a Kenyan wildlife sanctuary, as well as a long-tailed macaque adopting a kitten in an Indonesian nature reserve.

Our Big Family: The Family of the Earth wonderfully showcases the bonds between all living creatures in this world. We're all one big family. Peter Marsh's stunning collection of beautiful photographs reveals the remarkable connections and similarities in behavior between these magnificent creatures and humans. Like us, animals nurture their young and form deep friendships, not only within their own species but also with others across the animal kingdom. Kids will love this book. It will even lift the spirits of any adult who loves animals and books about nature and wildlife in general. I found the photos of different species of monkeys adopting kittens to be really adorable. Additionally, animals playing and resting together were some of my favorites. If you want your child to develop a deep love of animals from a young age, I highly recommend this book.
