Author Biography

I've always had stories in my head. With the pandemic, I decided to write them down. I'm now learning the craft of writing. Character development, story arc, tension, inciting incident, and plot twists.

I enjoy creating a new perspective on technology. Creating characters that innovate in some way causes the reader to think. How can technology you know or have heard about get used in new and interesting ways?

If you like my stories, fantastic, if not that is ok.

Pandemic Hacker by BD Murphy is a thriller with a difference. When the pandemic hit, Sam was an engineer, but with time on her hands, she became a hacker. Why? So she can stop a group of extortioners that have been hounding people for years, never being caught. She starts by hacking their accounts and taking their money, but she also stumbles across things they don’t want anyone to see. It doesn’t take her long to realize that someone else is on their trail, and the more she uncovers, the more the group tries to take her out. The FBI is involved, but Sam can’t work out whose side they are on. It’s up to Sam to decide her path; how far will she go to get justice for the victims and bring the group down?

Pandemic Hacker by BD Murphy is a refreshingly unique story, a thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat. Hang on to your hats because this is a fast story that ducks and dives as it takes us on a thrilling ride through the pandemic and the world of the hacker. This story will keep you guessing right to the very end. Part criminal fiction, part techno-thriller, it’s relevant to the times and it will leave you with questions about hacking to which you didn’t even know you wanted the answers. The characters are excellent, really well-developed, and written in a way that you can’t help but like them, especially the main protagonist, Sam. With plenty of action, this is one book you’ll read in a single sitting because you won’t want to put it down.
