The best way to teach is by example and Polite Like a Panda explains how to be polite in different sets of circumstances. The book begins by explaining what it means to be polite because it is not only about acting correctly, but also about having the right attitude. Our minds and feelings must match our actions. In this way, we will enjoy living with others more. Sonny Swinhart talks about the benefits of being polite, such as feeling better about ourselves or being able to make friends more easily. The book also includes suggestions on what to do and what not to do. Everything is summarized in short sentences that are easy to read and understand. This book is perfect for educating young children in a fun way.
Education includes many aspects; it is not only about getting new information, but it is also about knowing how to act in every moment and how to interact appropriately with other people. That's why I liked Polite Like a Panda because it highlights an aspect that is often treated as something secondary but is indispensable for the development of each individual. I am very enthusiastic about the book because it is simple and fun. The explanation of why it is correct to be polite and not just follow the actions by imitation is very clear. In addition, the real pictures of the pandas are adorable. Sonny Swinhart made a good decision to choose such an unusual animal as the main character because it attracts a lot of attention.
