What did the bus driver say to the frogs? "Hop in!" Lisa Ayotte’s book, Punny Jokes to Tell Your Peeps! (Book 3), is full of “punny” jokes like that one. Each page has one joke and a full-color photo accompanying it. The photos are cleverly designed little scenes always including peeps (pom poms with big eyes and other cute additions). An example is the space scene, which includes an astronaut peep, books on outer space, a case full of space stuff on a background of planets. The joke is "How does an astronaut get ready to go into space? First, he has to plan it?" Because each page is laid out in the same large font it would work well as an early reader.
Kids love jokes and this book will provide lots of fun ones for them to share with their peeps! The miniature scenes that Lisa Ayotte has put together for each joke are incredibly detailed and so clever. Kids will enjoy spending time looking at each spread to discover all the fun items. Each scene has so much to look at that you will discover new surprises each time you read it. Teachers could even use this as a jumping-off point to encourage kids to write and illustrate their own jokes. I love the simple clean look with a joke and a photo to accompany it on each page. Punny Jokes to Tell Your Peeps! (Book 3) is a definite must for any young or young at heart fan of puns!
