Quentin's Problem by Misty Baker is an entertaining story about Quentin the Quick who loved Pirate School, but could never bring himself to say 'Arr.' Swashbuckling came easily to him and he could swing from ship to ship without missing a beat. Now he wanted to say 'Arr' properly without making it sounding like 'Aww.' He wanted to skip his Piratish exam because he knew he would fail it. He makes some plans, but unfortunately all his plans backfire and he has do his plank test. Quentin saw sharks swimming below as he stepped onto the plank and was terrified they might feast on him. Would Quentin be able to pass the plank test, or would he end up in one of the sharks' mouths? It's a beautiful story with an excellent message of honesty and friendship.

I would recommend this book to everyone as this has a good message for young readers. The book has bright and colorful illustrations that give the story good pace and movement and bring it to life. It's a lovely bedtime storybook and parents and grandparents can read it out to their kids and grandkids. The book can also be used for interactive sessions in classrooms and school libraries. Quentin the Quick teaches life lessons to young readers, and stresses the importance of friendship, acceptance, and being honest, and also helps them to build up their confidence and abilities.
